Jeff Crilley spent 25 years in TV news reporting in Dallas, Minneapolis, Omaha and Lansing.
He’s made hundreds of national news appearances including CNN, CNN Headline News, FOX News, The Discovery Channel, Good Morning America and The CBS Early Show.
He was recognized by his peers with dozens of national and regional awards including the Emmy, the National Headliners Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award, the Thurgood Marshall Award and in 2004 was named by the Texas Associated Press, “The Best TV Reporter in the state.”
JEFF BRADY
Jeff Brady has covered the Columbia Disaster, the Branch Davidian Standoff, the Super Bowl, a UN Naval blockade near Haiti, civil violence in Southern Mexico, and the Clinton-Gore Presidential motorcade through Texas during the 1993 election season.
He’s interviewed both George Bushes, George Strait and Jesse Jackson. His distinguished reporting and anchoring career helped take his Dallas TV station to the top of the ratings.
CLIF CALDWELL
Clif Caldwell retired from TV news after an award winning career that includes reporting jobs in Dallas, Miami, Cleveland and Grand Rapids.
During his 26 years in news, Clif covered some of the nation’s biggest stories. From the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco to Hurricane Katrina, Clif’s compassion always came through the TV screen.
Angela Hale
Angela Hale is a former Emmy winning TV reporter who spent 15 years pounding the pavement as an investigative reporter. Her news career included stops in Dallas, San Antonio, Laredo and Florida.
She served as the Director of Communications and Senior Advisor to Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. She was one of the highest ranking and longest serving women on General Abbott’s Executive Management Team and was a key advisor and liaison for the Crime Victim’s Services Division for the Office of Attorney General that supports crime victim’s organizations in Texas.
Angela also served as the Director of Communications to Texas House Speaker Joe Straus guiding him through his first session as Speaker and assisted with Communication Strategy with members of the House of Representatives.
SUSAN RISDON
Veteran reporter Susan Risdon spent 15 years chasing some of the biggest stories in the country. She’s reported live from the dragging death trial in Jasper, the American Airlines fatal crash in Little Rock and the Jarrell, Texas tornado that killed 27 people.
For seven years, her reports led the news in Dallas. Before that she worked as a correspondent for The Texas Network (TXN), as well as for stations in Austin, Bangor, Maine and Paducah, Kentucky.
REBECCA RODRIGUEZ
During her TV career she reported on everything from Hurricane Andrew to the Branch Davidian standoff.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but grew up in South Texas. Rebecca graduated from Southwest Texas State University, and began her career in Corpus Christi. Since then she’s worked at television stations in Waco, Austin, Seattle and Dallas, as well as for CNN and the Fox News Channel.
TERESE ARENA
Terese Arena is a veteran of more than 30 years in broadcast journalism, including the last 18 in radio news in Dallas.
She’s anchored, produced and reported for the top news stations in the market. She’s won numerous awards including “Best Major Market Newscast” from the Associated Press and the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association.
She’s worked as a freelance reporter for Fox News Radio and CNN and has covered many national stories including the Shuttle Challenger explosion and the Oklahoma City bombing.
SCOTT MURRAY
From the Olympics to the US Open, the World Series to the World Cup, Presidential Inaugurations to 30 straight Super Bowls, Scott Murray has covered them all. For close to a quarter of a century he was the award-winning news Sports Director and Anchor at NBC 5, Dallas/Ft. Worth. Prior to that, Scott was based in Washington , D.C. with NBC television.
During his three decades of television sports, Scott was named Sportscaster of the Year 17 times by various news/media organizations such as the Associated Press, United Press International, Dallas Press Club, NATAS, among others. He won back to back Emmy Awards for Best Sportscaster in 2000 and 2001 and was the recipient of the prestigious Silver Circle Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
CHARLIE HODGES
During his 25 years in radio broadcasting, Charlie Hodges has won countless awards.The Texas Tech graduate’s career has led him to cover some of the biggest stories in the country, from the crash of the Space Shuttle Columbia, the first anniversary of 9/11 from Ground Zero and the return of captured prisoners of war from Iraq. In 2003, he was named the Best Reporter for radio by Texas Assocated Press Broadcasters.
His newspaper work has been honored by the Texas Press Association and Virginia Press Association. He has honed his craft in Lubbock, Minnesota, Virginia and Dallas/Fort Worth, while working as a reporter, editor or news director for newspapers, radio, TV and online.
